Houston to Baton Rouge with a couple stops along the way...
SO GLAD Shane and I decided to get the girls iPods BEFORE the trip. They were able to listen to music, play games, watch movies, and type little notes back and forth to each other. GREAT investment.
Can you tell just how much he "loves" driving?
First stop, Beaumont, Texas...
At the World's THIRD Largest Fire Hydrant.
Come on?! What road trip would't be complete without stopping to see something silly? If you wondering I found it on www.roadsideamerica.com , there are TONS of different things to list.
This large dalmation spotted fire hydrant is actually a leftover from a movie promotion. Which movie? 101 Dalmations of course! The one with Glenn Close, Joely Richardson, and Jeff Daniels.

...yes, its REAL...
...yes, I let my 3 year old touch it...
... AND YES, that IS ME HOLDING AN ALLIGATOR!!!!
There are 3 things in this world that terrify me... snakes, alligators, and sharks.
Well... ONE fear conquered, maybe it was "baby" alligator that isn't yet on a meat diet BUT STILL it was a living, breathing alligator and I HELD that thing. In MY book, that is a fear DEFINITELY conquered!
Daniella on the other hand was on cloud nine and wanted to take him to New Jersey with us.
Momma alligator
Isn't this the cutest little outdoors staircase? PERFECT photo op place. I'm sure my girls just LOVE it when I wanna take a hundred pictures. But they'll be glad I did... one day. ;)
There's a turtle sunbathing out there on that log. ;)
My babies
Ha ha... See ya later alligator... cracks me up! ;)
Funny fact: each state we drove through, we picked a "themed" DVD for the girls to watch... can you guess which one was selected for Louisiana?
The Princess And The Frog
(Check out this YouTube video... http://youtu.be/JydJ0EROvQM)
Rollin down the bayou...
And of course, we HAD to check out the LSU Stadium... I mean Mike the tiger. Afterall, he is the mascot.
