Look what I made!! :)

I've been feelin' kinda crafty lately and made a trip to Michael's crafts store. I ended up coming out with this peg shelf. I wasnt for sure what I was gonna use it for but I knew I would find a use for it! The shelf itself regularly cost $5.99 but I had a 40% off coupon. So it only ended costing me about $3.59

I love good deals and I love coupons even more! Anything to save money, helps. Anyways, I was debating between a purse/hat shelf for Makayla and ALL her dress up stuff or a shelf for the hallway between the garage and kitchen for our jackets, my purse, the diaperbag. Well... I'm sure you can see which way I went with that. ha ha But I will eventually go back and get another shelf for Makayla. :) She needs one! That girl has sooooooo much stuff.

Another thing was... I already had the dark mahogany stain and clear gloss at home from an accident that happened to our kitchen table a while back. So I just used that... it goes with the rest of the house anyways. All my furniture dowstairs is a dark cherry colored wood. The little insignia in the middle, of course... is Coast Guard. We stole it off Shane's combination cover (dress hat). He can always get a new one, anyways. So its not a big deal! :)

I think it came out pretty good and it DEFINITELY gets used!! I love it. No more coming in and throwing everything on the kitchen counters. Why didn't I think of this sooner? ;)
