The transition from mommy and daddy's bed to her own isn't going as planned. Some nights she'll be okay, others not so much. Some nights she sleep in her own bed all night and others maybe only a couple of hours and then she is back in bed with us. Ugh... it's fustrating! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE and ADORE all her snuggles. But it wouldn't be such a bad thing if the kid slept STRAIGHT. Like a normal person would. Instead, she sleeps SIDEWAYS! Even in our king size bed... we are ALL uncomfortable. I just dont even know what to do about this situation anymore. :(
I'm hoping at tax time, I can redo her bedroom with bedding. (She doesn't have a set of her own, like her sisters do). Isabella's room is Hannah Montana themed and Makayla is The Little Mermaid. So maybe, just maybe... if I get her room decorated and its not so plain, she'll want to actually sleep in there. I HOPE! Fingers crossed! She's OBSESSED with Finding Nemo & The Princess and the Frog. She still likes Spongebob Squarepants but not as nearly as much as "Memo" & "Ta-na-na" (the princess' name in the movie is Tiana). lol
Anyways, other then that... I've tried everything I can think of...
When Isabella and Makayla were transistioning... I would always go lay down with them in their beds. Which I have tried with Daniella. The only problem with that though... is I would always end up falling asleep and not waking up til morning-- with a stiff back or neck.
So if anyone has any advice or suggestions, PLEASE send them our way! It would greatly be appreciated. :)
P.S. We've tried a baby gate in the doorway, a night light, no night light, a movie, tried taking her back upstairs everytime she escapes, we've even tried just letting her cry it out (which breaks my heart) but it still doesn't work.
Anyways, here is a couple cute pictures of her ACTUALLY sleeping in her own bed.
