Travel Binders for the Girls

So with our "big move" coming up, I decided I needed to come up with some kind of entertainment binder for the girls. After doing a million and one google searches, I came up with my own version.

I bought some material & batting from Walmart and covered 3 - 3 ring binders (that I already had).

Each one has labeled divider tabs so the girls can find things easier.

They each have their own pencil pouch with a pair of scissors, glue stick, box of crayons, highlighter, 2 pencils, 2 white board markers, & a pen.

This is their reward page. It's blank, I know. I bought these stickers from the Dollar Tree with money denominations on them. (10 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents, 75 cents, 1 dollar, and 5 dollars). Each time the one of the girls behave, is being the quietest, or helping out I'm gonna give them a sticker for their page. After we get to NJ, we will calculate them up and they will be able to use that money towards purchasing something for their new bedroom.

Isabella & Makayla got a calendar in theirs.

... and a road trip itinerary. So they know how long we will be driving for (time & mileage). And what cities we will be stopping in.

They each got a travel journal...

... with a questionnaire about what they liked/disliked about Texas and what they are looking forward to doing/seeing in New Jersey.

Each day they can write the date, what they had for breakfast, lunch, & dinner, what they did or saw that day and what their favorite part of the day was.

A blank map of the U.S. so they can color in each of the 12 states we will be driving through. (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, & New Jersey)

Then a more detailed map of each state with our route highlighted and out stops for the night marked with a sticker.

A coloring fact sheet on each of the states we will be traveling through.

I Spy worksheets.

Maze worksheets.

Tic-Tac-Toe sheets.

Connect the dots.

Coast Guard coloring pages.

Color by number.

Other coloring pages...

Make your own postcard.

Math review worksheets.

Extra lined, blank, and graphing paper.

Personal whiteboards.

... and stickers.
The Prize Basket

I found this on a website. You buy a few inexpensive "prizes" and every so many miles you let your child pick a prize. Something new to keep them occupied.

I bought some balloons, bubbles, coloring books, water color books, gum, pop it's (little firecrackers you slap on the ground), glow sticks, etc.
Here's hoping that all my research and planning pays off and the girls stay occupied during our 1800 miles "adventure" to NJ.
