Goodwill find...

Okay, so anyone who knows me knows that I'm not a big Goodwill fan. Not that I think I am "too good" for it-- I just like things to be fresh & new. Anyways, I went into the Goodwill one day looking for a used "antique" style frame. I'm in another one of my "project/craft" moods.) Because this is what I am trying to make...

My friend, Mallory has one in her house that I LOVE and it's alot prettier then the one above. I've never seen anything like it until I saw hers. But after "googling" it on the internet they are actually pretty common. Alot of people have them. And why wouldn't they? They are SUPER cute and they come in all different styles, colors, shapes, etc.

I thought I like this "see through" frame look until my friend, Amanda from Coastie Chicks posted a picture of the one she recently bought through a seller on etsy.com Not only does her's have the family's last name and established date but it also has each duty station connected to it. I think it is really unique and a great way to remember all your memories from each place you've lived. I am in LOVE with it!! (Hope she doesn't mind me using her picture)

Luckily, the frame I bought was a "green ticket" item on the day I went to the Goodwill. Green Ticket Item = 50% off
So I paid a whole 79 cents for it.

(The frame I bought is like the first picture, but solid black and kind of plain. It needs alot of help!)

Not sure which one I like better... well, actually I DO! lol :) But which one would be easier?... and more enjoyable to make? Decisions, decisions... I know!! And I'm not one of those people who just hops into a project to see where it goes. If I can't make up my mind... it will sit there until I do.

Oh well... Daniella on the other hand walked out of the Goodwill with thee BIGGEST smile on her face. She got a "like new" Finding Nemo comforter (toddler bed size) and it was ALSO a "green ticket" item. I paid a whole $2.87 for it. And it's the best $2.87 I have ever spent!!! We brought it home, washed it a couple times and to this day she still sleeps with it EVERY night. :)

Isn't that the cutest smile ever?! Gosh, I love her!!
