... for some reason it wouldnt let me post my birthday story on the last post. So I'll have to do it in a new one. :) (Blogger... ugh!)
Anyways, I had a pretty good day. But I'll have to say that I dont "feel" older even though I know I am... it's just a weird feeling. I'm 25... TWO-FIVE, THE BIG TWO-FIVE?!?! It's scary!!!! I mean think about it... I'm a quarter of a century old. (Thank you, Diane for pointing that out.) :) LOL Doesn't that sound crazy?
W0W! I just never imagined being 25 and well... HERE IT IS!
... anyways, enough of my rambling. Here is a quick review of my birthday! :) Yay, Happy Birthday to me!!
* I got to sleep in, yay!
* I had to make my own breakfast because Shane hurt his back. (Bummer) :( Sad for him and me.
* We got dressed, took some pictures in the car on our way to the Padre Island. BUT I decided AFTER we got there that I wanted to eat some where else that was on the other side of town. Women??? I know... right?!?! LOL Anyways, it was the "scenic" route. Bwa, ha, ha, ha... hey, all three girls got a quickie nap during this time. Score!
* We ended up at Brewsters Street Icehouse... it's an awesome bar & grill with music and a PLAYGROUND for the kids! Can we say YAY for that? Hallelujah!!! The only downside is the playground equals sitting outside and we sweat our bootys off. But thats okay because the girls had a blast, the food was amazing, the music was great, and my mai tai was even better! :)
* After dinner, we stopped and got a cake... AND let the girls pick out cupcakes since they're not big fans of cheesecake. Which by the way, is my favorite! Yummy! My wonderful little family sang "Happy Birthday" to me and Daniella got to enjoyed her very first cupcake. She loved it and of course, made a huge mess! Once everyone was done eatting, Shane helped me get the girls ready for bed. So I could go hang out with my new neighbor. She had invited me over earlier in the day to have a couple glasses of wine to celebrate my birthday. She would have came over to our house but her hubby was on duty :( Anyways, it ended up being her, another neighbor, and me sittin out on the porch. Drinkin, laughin... havin fun. It was a great way to end the night... I mean, morning. :)
OH AND... I got a VERY special, VERY unexpected call... from my father-in-law wishing me happy birthday AND HE EVEN SANG IT TO ME!! How awesome is that? It totally made my day and I am so thinkful to have a "dad" like him! Thank you, Joel! Not only did it make me laugh so hard that I thought I might pee my pants but it was so sweet that I wanted to cry! I'm so blessed to have such a loving family!
It was definitely a birthday to remember!
Plus, now that Im 25... it means our auto insurance goes down. Yahoo... See? There is at least one perk! :)
